Visit Guatemala Without Leaving Washington

 

Washington, DC (April, 2018)—Passport DC celebrates the annual event commemorating International Cultural Awareness Month in the District of Columbia. It runs from May 1 through 31 with a wide array of cultural activities presented at a record number of embassy open houses, street festivals, performing arts venues, museums, and special receptions around the District. On Saturday, May 5, Guatemala joins more than 75 other nations participating in Passport DC, opening its doors during Around the World Embassy Tour.

Lionel Maza, Deputy Chief of Mission of the Embassy of Guatemala said, “We are excited to participate once again in this year´s Passport DC.  We will share with all our visitors many of the magnificent aspects of Guatemalan culture, tourism, arts and crafts as well as samples of our gastronomy.  Our program includes an Photographic Exhibition by renowned photographer Fran Antmann as well as exhibits of Guatemala´s textiles.  We invite everyone to visit Guatemala without leaving DC”
